Dr. Andrew MacKay
University of Southern California School of Pharmacy, Gavin Herbert Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences
Dr. MacKay explores protein-polymers, drug delivery, and pharmacokinetics. At MIT, he was trained in chemical engineering and biology. As an HHMI fellow, he completed his dissertation on intracranial delivery of liposomes at the University of California at San Francisco and Berkeley in Bioengineering. As a KNRSA Postdoctoral Fellow, he studied recombinant polypeptides at Duke University in Biomedical Engineering. As faculty at the University of Southern California, Dr. MacKay has appointments in Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Ophthalmology, and the Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. His work has been supported by the US Army and the National Institutes of Health.
