Dr. Todd Hoare

Todd Hoare is the Canada Research Chair in Engineered Smart Materials and a Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at McMaster University.  His work focuses on designing hydrogels on all length scales (from the bulk to the nano) for applications in diverse fields including drug delivery, tissue engineering, agriculture, and biosensing, with a particular emphasis on developing rationally designed injectable in situ gelling hydrogels and micro/nanogel delivery vehicles.  He is a Co-Editor of Chemical Engineering Journal (responsible for drug delivery papers) and a Fellow of the International Union of Societies of Biomaterials Science and Engineering.
